What Is ChatFi Store? A Storefront Built for Social Sellers

August 2026 · 4 min read

If you've ever sold anything on WhatsApp, Instagram, or TikTok in Nigeria, you already know the routine: a customer messages you, you send them your bank account number, they send a screenshot of the transfer, and you cross your fingers it actually clears before you ship. It works, but it's slow, it's manual, and it makes it hard to look like a real business — even when you are one.

ChatFi Store is our answer to that. It's a storefront and checkout tool built specifically for people already selling through social media, designed to take the parts that are painful — payments, order tracking, looking professional — and make them automatic.

How it actually works

A seller signs up, picks a store name, and gets a live storefront in minutes — something like store.chatfi.pro/yourbrand. From there, they add products with photos, prices, and descriptions, the same way they'd post to Instagram, except now every product has a real page with a working "Buy" button instead of a comment thread full of "price?" replies.

Instead of sending customers a bank account number and hoping for the best, a seller shares one link. Their customer clicks it, browses the store, adds items to a cart, and checks out right there — paying in Naira or USDC through ChatFi Pay, our built-in checkout. The payment settles straight to the seller's own wallet, without ChatFi ever holding the money in between.

Who it's actually for

ChatFi Store is built for the seller who already has an audience and already has customers — they just don't have a proper storefront yet. That covers a lot of ground:

What makes it different from a generic online store builder

Most storefront tools are built assuming a seller already has a business bank account, a registered company, and a reason to accept card payments from strangers on the internet. ChatFi Store starts from a different place: it's built for the seller who's already doing real volume through informal channels, and just needs the payment and order-tracking layer to catch up to how they actually work — sharing one link in a bio, a story, or a chat, instead of running a full e-commerce operation from scratch.

There's no subscription fee to open or run a store — sellers only pay a transaction fee on what they actually sell, plus optional fees for things like a premium storefront theme, if they want one. That keeps the barrier to trying it out close to zero.

Getting started

Setting up a store takes a few minutes: pick a name, add your first few products, connect a payout method, and share your link. From there, it's the same selling you were already doing — just with a real storefront and automatic payments behind it, instead of a notebook full of bank transfer screenshots.
